What is it about this Quartet? Is it the personification of passion? I've awakened this morning .. in the middle of the Spoleto Festival USA...and associated Piccolo Spoleto. I lose count of the number of rehearsals and concerts that I am either attending or performing in. I've performed Sibelius Symphony 2 op43 Finale, Tchaikovsky Symphony 2 Finale, Mozart Piano Quartet k478, Brahms Piano Quartet c minor op60 ... a full concert of Opera excerpts ... A pops concert ending in fireworks and the 1812 Overture ... and much more ... And I awake this morning , and what is going through my head? The Opening phrase of the Allegro Con brio From Beethoven's Op95?!! Personification of passion and serioso dedication. I had to sign on to satisfy a "95" fix ... with a very darkly brewed cup of Java.
Bravo Curtis. Your passion reaches far beyond your four walls.
