Hugh Wolff, NEC's Stanford and Norma Jean Calderwood Director of Orchestras, conducts the final program of the YPO season in a kick-off performance prior to leading the orchestra on tour to Argentina in June. More on this tour.

The program opens with a work honoring the essential place in Argentinian musical culture of the tango and its most revered practitioner, Astor Piazzolla. Music by Wagner and Berlioz (in portrait, right) showcase the brilliant virtuosity of these young student players.
