Songs of Revolution

The NEC Wind Ensemble and Symphony Winds and conductors Charles Peltz and William Drury team up with the Contemporary Improvisation department's American Roots Ensemble, under the direction of Eden MacAdam-Somer, in paired performances of the movements of William Schuman's New England Triptych. Each of the movements, Chester, When Jesus Wept and Be Glad Then America will be heard in Schuman's settings and as the original songs on which they were based. Other guest artists are Elmer Churampi '17, trumpet, winner of NEC Concerto Competition and Lina Marcela González Granados ‘14 M.M., conductor, a student of Charles Peltz.
