Michael's comments about this week's performance:

The 2016-2017 Season opens with a sense of “pomp and circumstance” as the 155 voices of The Michael O’Neal Singers and 36 voices of Kaleidoscope present a concert featuring music composed for British Royalty – pieces written for coronations, weddings, funerals, and other royal occasions. Accompanied by organ, brass and timpani, this majestic and festive music will make you feel as if you’ve entered Westminster Abbey or St. Paul’s Cathedral!

Sneak Preview:

Selections include Zadok the Priest by G.F. Handel composed for the coronation of George II, William Walton’s Coronation Te Deum, written for the coronation of Elizabeth II, and Let the People Praise Thee, O God, written by William Mathias for the wedding of Charles and Diana. Additional works by Purcell, Stanford, Parry, and Vaughan Williams will help round out the afternoon and make this a concert you will long remember!
