Biography

Hailed as a “golden soprano” by the New York Times, Jolle Greenleaf has established herself as a leading specialist in early music. She is known as a soloist in oratorios by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Purcell, Mozart, and notably Claudio Monteverdi. As TENET’s artistic director, she creates virtuoso programs sung one voice to a part.  She can be heard on the Grammy nominated CD O Magnum Mysterium and a recording of songs by Charpentier with AsproDolce. Last season, she spearheaded the first performance of Monteverdi’s Vespersof 1610 in 2010 for the 400th anniversary with the GreenMountain Project, resulting in a LIVE CD recording. The New York Times declared “Ms. Greenleaf is a leading candidate for most valuable player in this Monteverdi year.”
