Biography
Rachael Smith   has been playing flute for over twenty five years. She has performed as a soloist with several regional orchestras in the Greater Philadelphia Area and has 20 years of orchestral and chamber music experience. In 2009, Rachael was a semi-finalist in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition as a member of DePaul University's Graduate Woodwind Quintet. In 2010, Rachael founded Tria, Chicagoland's Flute, Viola, and Harp Trio. She is Principal Flute in Northbrook Symphony, and performs with indie pop band, Sewing Pattern. Rachael has also performed with Fulcrum Point New Music Project and on the New Music DePaul concert series. She can  be heard on New World Records, performing with the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.
Rachael earned her Bachelor's of Music in Flute Performance from Temple University's Esther Boyer College of Music in Philadelphia studying with Kazuo Tokito, and her Master of Music in Flute Performance from DePaul University, studying with Mary Stolper.
