Biography

American
Tenor Ryan Brock is currently pursuing his MM at UNC-Greensboro. He was a young artist with Maestro Lorin
Maazel’s Castleton Festival last summer where he covered Roderigo in Otello and Joe in La Fanciulla del West. He performed
scenes from Rigoletto, La Bohème, and Carmen, and was a member of the chorus in the festival’s production
of La Bohème
at
the Royal Opera House of Muscat, Oman.
Ryan’s
recent engagements include Lensky in Bel Cantanti Opera’s Eugene Onegin and
covers of Rodolfo and Radames with NC Opera.
As
a recitalist, he has given world premieres to Scott Wasserman’s Songs for Marion and Nancy Galbraith’s Shakespeare Sonnets VIII & XI. Concert appearances include such major works
as Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Bernstein’s
Candide, Haydn’s Creation, and Bach’s Johannes
Passion.
Ryan
earned his BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010.
