Biography
The Ariel-Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Centre is an 1895 opera house complex restored as a home for The Ohio Valley Symphony. Built in the age of gas-light elegance and designed by the state architects of Packard & Yost, the Ariel has the look of yesteryear with all the amenities of modern times including being ADA accessible. No amplification is needed here, the acoustics are amazing. The main auditorium seats 463 on the floor and in the balcony. The second floor has a Banquet Room with serving kitchen, 2 Parlors and a Ballroom. The third floor holds a Chamber Theatre and Board Room and two new ADA accessible restrooms.
