Here is a snippet of this beautiful concert that concluded the 2011 season:
Arrived at St. James in time to grab a seat in the rear, but had to pass up the pre-concert nibbles to do that and to register for the iPad drawing. It was a packed house. After Ms Sobol introduced Steve Robinson, I later saw them both working the aisles to guide patrons to the few remaining seats before the concert began. Fifth House Ensemble played the Beethoven Septet just perfectly. I saw audience members with their eyes closed during the Adagio passages, just drinking in the sonorities of the music. With an SRO attendance like the RHC can draw, there is no fear that classical music will not continue to thrive in the years to come.
