HOW TO MAKE COQ AU VIN (CHICKEN IN WINE) - COOKING ESCAPADES

This is an absolutely delicious recipe for Coq Au Vin (or chicken braised in red wine). I've made it many times, and each time it turns out juicy, tender, and flavorful! Go ahead, give it a try - it won't disappoint! Recipe: 1 cup onion 1 garlic clove (minced) 2 tablespoons parsley (minced) 3 tablespoons butter 3-4 pieces bacon (or small piece of chopped salt pork) 1 tablespoon marjoram 1/2 tablespoon thyme salt & pepper 2 bone in chicken breasts 1 & 1/2 cup baby carrots 1 & 1/2 cup red wine 1. Melt butter in dutch oven, and then brown bacon. 2. In the fat, brown the onion, garlic & carrots 3. Move vegetables to the side and brown chicken on both sides 4. Add wine, reduce to low, and add the rest of the herbs listed. 5. Cook for 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours until chicken is tender and fully cooked. SMASH that SUBSCRIBE button and join the "Escapades" community!
