NEC students Leonard Fu and Ariel Mo perform Louange à l’immortalité de Jésus ("Praise to the eternity of Jesus") from Messiaen's Quatuor pour la fin du temps ("Quartet for the End of Time"). The quartet was written in 1941 while Messiaen was a prisoner of war and was premiered the Stalag VIIIA prisoner-of-war camp, in Görlitz, Germany. This recording was made in October 2019 during a celebration concert in honor of the legacy of influential conductor Lorna Cooke deVaron.
