Joshua Batty plays Georges Hüe’s Fantaisie

There’s a German word for it – ‘Gebrauchsmusik’, music composed for a specific purpose. Georges Hüe’s Fantaisie was written as a test piece for the Paris Conservatoire exams. Our Principal Flute, Joshua Batty, and pianist Evan Streater play this charming showpiece without a hint of the stresses of end-of-year cramming. Special thanks to our Gold Partner, Theme & Variations for sharing their beautiful studio for this recording. Special thanks to Theme & Variations Piano Services for their support in this video.
