Andrew Haveron plays Elgar's La Capricieuse
Seeded by sydneysymphony on 9 Jul 2020
Author: Sydney Symphony Orchestra
Elgar’s ‘salon music’ was written for music-making in the home; delightful miniatures, perfectly crafted for amateur musicians to entertain their friends. An online audience is rather larger than Elgar envisaged, and Andrew Haveron and Simon Tedeschi are far from being amateurs, but the pleasure of music with friends remains unchanged.
