Sydney Symphony violists Justine Marsden and Rosemary Curtin play Bach's Duet for Two Violas in G Major F.61 on their A.E. Smith Violas. Currently, they're the only two Smith playing violists in the section. This piece is one of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach's late works and also a very rare work that heroes the viola. Two violas may be an unusual combo but it works perfectly for this bustling, good-humoured music.
