Our 2010-2011 season will bring four enticing programs featuring world-class soloists. Each concert program is designed to offer an unforgettable experience with some of the greatest music of all time. Our first program will be held on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17. Entitled “Springtime Serenade”, this program features music that evokes nature. Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, the “Pastorale”, is paired with Copland’s sublime Appalachian Spring and Cimarosa’s hauntingly beautiful Oboe Concerto, performed by Pedro Diaz of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Next we offer “Baroque Celebration” on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12. This program features Vivaldi’s Four Seasons performed by David Chan, Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and continues with Vivaldi’s Gloria performed with the Florilegium Chorale.
